ASSALTO IMPERIALE si fa wargame!

 IMPERIAL ASSAULT becomes a wargame

Sotto gli auspici del vulcanico Lukam, socio del Miles, il boardgame Assalto Imperiale venerdì scorso ha completato la metamorfosi in wargame. Naturalmente non c'è alcunché di ufficiale.

Under the auspices of the volcanic Lukam, the Miles buddy, the Imperial Assault boardgame, Friday night, metamorphosed in a wargame. Of course everything is completely unofficial.

L'esercito ribelle, guidato dalla prode Leila, attacca la raffineria imperiale. I ribelli hanno il favore della sorpresa, così non saranno visti finché, si spera, non sarà troppo tardi per la guarnigione imperiale. Nel frattempo, un gruppetto ribelle aggirerà la posizione per spuntare sul fianco al momento opportuno, completando la disfatta nemica. Questo, almeno, è l'astuto piano...

The Rebel army is attacking the Imperial refinery. The rebels have the favor of the surprise, so they will not be seen until, hopefully, it will not be too late for the imperial garrison. In the mean time, a small Rebel group will outflank the position to suddenly appear at the climatic moment. This, at least the "cunning" plan...

Dal canto loro gli imperiali non mancano di mezzi...

For their part, the Imperialists do not lack in troops...

Turno 1 - l ribelli avanzano in copertura. Per ora l'Impero non è consapevole della loro presenza.

Round 1 - The Rebels advance in cover. The Empire is not yet aware of their presence.

Turno 2 - Il Capitano ribelle, con due squadre, attacca l'avamposto. Leila con i Ranger si porta sotto la collina per sorprendere la postazione sulla collina.

Round 2 - The Rebel Captain, leading 2 squads, attacks the outpost. Leia with the Rangers moves below the hill to surprise the positon on the top.

Turno 3 - I ribelli sulla destra stanno, dolorosamente, avendo la meglio. Leila con l'elite della Alleanza scambia colpi con l'artigliere sulla collina, che si rivela un osso duro. Intanto una terza squadra ribelle ed una di Wookie fanno la loro comparsa sulla sinistra dell'Impero. 

Round 3 - The Rebels are, painfully, getting the better on their right. Leia with the elite of the Alliance exchanged shots with the gunner on the hill, which proves to be a tough nut to crack. Meanwhile, a third rebel team and a Wookie team make their appearance on the Empire's left.

Turno 4 - In un duro scontro a fuoco i ribelli hanno la meglio sull'avamposto imperiale che viene sgombrato dagli occupanti, ma al costo di una delle squadre ribelli. Leila con i Ranger riesce ad eliminare l'ostinato difensore della collina: la strada per la raffineria è aperta!
Il giocatore Imperiale riesce finalmente ad attivare il suo camminatore, per vederlo attaccato da ben due missili anticarro, che lo mettono a malpartito...

Round 4 - In a heavy firefight the Rebels have the upper hand on the Imperial outpost, which is cleared of its occupants, but at the cost of one of the rebel teams. Leia with the Rangers manages to eliminate the stubborn defender of the hill: the road to the refinery is open! The Imperial player is finally able to activate his walker, just to be attacked by two anti-tank missiles, which almost took it out of action...

Conclusione - mentre Liela ed il Capitano continuano la loro avanzata, i giocatori imperiali, grazie ad una carta comando ben piazzata, riportano il camminatore in piena efficienza. Gli wookie da parte loro ritengono insopportabile la faccenda e decidono di smantellarlo pezzo per pezzo, cosa per cui sono particolarmente noti.
La guarnigione imperiale, pressata da tutte le parti, decide la resa.
Questa volta l'Alleanza è vittoriosa... 


Aftermath - While Leia and the Captain press on their advance, the Imperial players, thanks to a well played command card, bring the walker back to full efficiency. The Wookies feel that it is to much to bear and decide to dismantle it limb by limb, something they are notoriously quite good at. The Imperial garrison is pressed on all sides and surrenders.
This time the Alliance is victorious...
